scenario based questions were i could test my knowledge of
switching. If you studied the colts and bosson .. then the exam is easy. I
just think they should make the exam a bit more challenging.Hopefully the
next exam BSCN is abit more tougher . I just dont this certification to end
up like MCSE
I just purchased the CCNP Routing Study Guide published by Sybex. Is the
BSCN Cisco Press book better? I also have Routing TCP/IP Volume one.
What should I use to study for the exam.

the CIR of a Pipe that has Ex: 2 64 and 1 128 PVC's? Would it be the least
PVC times the # of PVC's or what would be the answer. Any help would be

Just like to thank everyone for helping me out while I was studying for
the Routing exam. I am pleased to inform that I passed :o)
There were lots of questions on BGP, and quite a few on VLSM, hierarchical
routing. I attended the BSCN course, and basically studied from the

it now, just start reading anything you can get your hands on in reference
to OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLSM, and Routing TCP/IP effectively. As far

It appears that the BSCN part of CCNP is the only course that focuses on

1. Building Scalable Cisco Networks , by Catherine Paquet
I read it only once, but I should have read it at least twice. Most
of Questions were from this book. And it is well written.
2. Routing TCP/IP, by Jeff Doyl
I've looked at all the objectives for this exam. They say that other things
that are not listed could possibly be on the exam.
I was wondering if anyone has taken it. If so, are there any other subjects
I ought to prepare for before testing.

I still get confused. In the OSPF with multiple areas, it describes how
stub area carries Intra-area and Inter-area routes but not routes external
to the AS.
Is intra-area routes, routes with in the area?

skipped showed up in the exam. Come on, read the chapters. How long will
