DR/BDR in OSPF

Question about OSPF: Once the DR/BDR are elected and network is converged, if a change is detected, does the router noticing the change flood the area or send this info to the DR so it can flood the area? Rob **NOTE: New CCNA/CCDA List has been formed. For more information go to http

Guess who? I understand that the DR sends the link state update to all adjacent OSPF routers. Essentially flooding the network. The router that detected the change to the link state directly sends the LSU to the DR and BDR. my tiny brain not working Anyone differ, please feel free. Just

Hallo group, I agree that the right answer is c, but this gives me a further question: Let´s say, we have a network with several routers. The election process runs for the first time during startup. Now, as I can´t switch on all the routers at the same time, the router I switch on first will

This is a question for study purposes. I want to verify what I think the answer is: Let's say Router A is the Designated Router with priority of 100 and fails. Router B (Backup Designated Router) with priority of 90 becomes the DR and Router C with a priority of 80 becomes the BDR. If Router

Doug, I see you're using one of your "lifelines" I'd go with answer B make it your final answer. Reason as stated in the ACRC book is "The only time a DR or BDR will change is if one of them goes down. If the DR goes down, the BDR takes over as the DR and a new BDR is elected. If the
