Change to 0x2101 then the flash would be read-write, I don't think enter boot mode would let you erase flash, just give it a try. Leo Best Regards. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Mark Godfrey Sent: Wednesday, July 10, 2002 4:50 PM To:

The best I can do is the explanation I have in front of me. Which is for example, If you have a failed upgrade of Flash then the router will most of the time boot to the Router(boot) command. If it goes to the ROMMON mode then the router is not looking for a boot image. At the router(boot)

more than likely, the router could not find the correct boot file. check the config and look for a boot system flash stsement near the top. it is probably specifying the wrong boot file. Lowell E. Sharrah SBC-DataComm 517-241-7059 wk 517-360-0481 pgr 517-930-1993 cell [EMAIL PROTECTED]

If your router has a valid image in flash, check to make sure your config register is set to 0x2102. If not you will have to re-set it to 0x2102. This will tell the router to boot from an image stored in flash... Chris Lemagie Systems Engineer Cisco Systems Seattle Commercial Region (425)
