Does anyone know if you get a blade for the 6500 where you can fit an
ordinary hdlc serial in ?
Seems like you only get blades for the high end stuff (atm , e1, e3) etc .

Has anyone taken any of the WAN switching tests? I am about halfway
through the Ciscopress CCNA WAN switching book and I was wondering other
peoples opinions on this test.

They are retiring the CCIE Wan switching written test at the end of this
month. They will be announcing the details of a new certification in
February for the "Service Provider" trac
I would not reccomend this track. Cisco is phasing
out this exam, and replacing it with something else.
Also, you need some pretty expensive equipment, ie
PBXs, BGX or BPX Routers, and so forth to even have a
shot at a CCIE WAN Switching Cert.

I just achieved my CCDP and it has been a rewarding journey.
I am thinking of working on CCDP WAN Switching while preparing
for Design CCIE Written test. I think we just have to pass the
Designing Switched WAN and Voice Solution (DSWVS) 640-413 test.
Does anybody have any experience and advice
CCNA Wan Quick start by cisco press has all that you need for
the exam if you deal with stratacoms at work.

I passed the Wan Switching test when it was in beta. From nothing but
experience, and Cisco Docs. No books, practice tests etc.
