install the inhull transducer. I have had some tell me that I should put
the sensor in a zip-lock bag with mineral oil to find the best spot in the
hull?
On A CC 30 MK1 has anybody installed one in there hull? I have 2

why you don't want to glue it permanently until you are sure. I would guess

forward of the keel is definitely the preferred location as you have been

Well I have the mid-1980's ray-marine st50 depth and paddle wheel
transducers mounted in the through holes. the guy at Garmin could not
tell me the dim- size but told me the 1 1/2 I have now was defiantly
too small. So he told me it would not work? I’m not sure. I would hope

The area where my tranducers are installed (under the v-berth, aft of the
holding tank) is not cored. I found that the area under the galley sink is
also not cored (where the sink drains are), but that's no good to you for a
transducer.

Somewhere in the depths of my brain a small voice says most depth transducers
can be located up to 20 degrees from vertical. It somewhat depends on the
frequency of the transducer and the beam angle.

The PO of Fury decommissioned the Isotherm system because of the marine
growth in the intake thru hull. I installed a Adler Barbour system that I

You can also use 2 hole saws. One the size of the original hole ; One the size of the new transducer. Mount them both on the same arbour (I'm told Harbour Freight in the US sell them). You need a longer arbour to mount both hole saws together. The smaller saw centres in the old hole, the larger
