There was a very early Redwing 35 at the club I was at in Ontario that came from the factory without the dinette. It had settees on both sides and a centre table that folded on both sides. It was called “Godspeed” and was for sale in the Kingston area last year. Rick Taillieu Nemesis '75

I need to replace our headlamps (the wearable kind) and there are so many choices out there. Any happy customers who want to share? I also have a older Signet masthead unit that can be had for shipping. Just found it and it worked when it came off years ago. Thanks in advance. David F.

Had all kinds of headlamps for boating, backpacking etc. By far the most useful for on the boat at night standing watch and in camp at night is the Petzl Emergency headlamp. Super light, has red mode, long lasting batteries and NOT blindingly bright at night. I have had mine for going on 10yrs now

Use what climbers do. In Canada, MEC is a good place to buy them. One of the better brands is the Black Diamond. The department store ones are usually 1/3 price (or lower), but they are also at least 1/2 as good. If you by climbing gear lights, you may have problems with white/red.

You got that right Joe. Hatches & head skylight are good clues. It's also not a Redwing, being a whole year newer than my boat... which is a few years younger than a Redwing. I like your comment about losing the best sea berth. This yacht is okay for a single-handed laker or coastal crustie
