On the 38, we need pieces over 6’ in length (if you want to follow the original
pattern). UPS won’t ship sheets in that length and Mcmaster doesn’t sell it
that long without freight shipping charges.

Rick,
I’m in the middle of this project on my boat. I went with Wally’s suggestion
and used “foamed pvc sheet”. Flex seems to be similar to the luan ply. Look at
the headliner part of wally’s page. I’m putting it up with no painting or
finish and it looks really nice. Very easy to work with, rou

It will bend. Seems a little less bendy than Plexiglas.
I just went out to my shop and grabbed a piece and bent it to about a 2-3
foot radius. I had the Admiral take a pic which I'll send you off list.

The autohelm is a 1976 vintage that I don't think saw much use. There is a

Some of the transmissions are oil bath, and some share the oil with the engine.
If that oil is one of the newer oils it may have friction modifiers in it which

configured to get a daily digest instead of individual messages? That
might be the issue. It's easier to respond to individual threads if you
get each message separately.

Hi,
I have the paragon SAOV / Walter RV-10D V-drive transmission combo on my 3QM30.
I have not experienced any clicks or reverse slips outs. My paragon has a

Correction, we got the "Coastal" version which has better neck padding

Anyway, we like them, but check the bobbins, they might be out of date.
We have not tested them in the water yet but probably will when the

I have both West and Spinlock harnesses on my boat. IMHO the Spinlock is much
better and certainly is more comfortable. The West Marine version is still way
better than none if you want to save some cash. I bought the cheap one and then

Just a note about the Spinlock harness, which most offshore sailors think
is the best harness going: I have spoken to the company reps and the reason
it's not CG certified is that the process is so long and expensive that it

Just fyi..if you are planning to use it for sanctioned offshore race it would
need to be modified to have leg straps. Otherwise it is very similar to mine
and is very comfy for round the buoys and coastal.
