Sorry Andy - late reply This creaks in some 33-2 models because the aft bulkhead is not tabbed to the deck but sits in a groove in the headliner. Grab the handhold on the hanging locker and push and pull and you’ll replicate the creak. I fixed this last winter by cutting out the liner inside

Gary, You don’t say what brand you have but does the paddlewheel have straight or curved paddles on it? If they are curved you may have put the paddlewheel back on the transducer backwards. Rick Taillieu Boatless Leamington, Ontario From: CnC-List [mailto:cnc-list-boun...@cnc-l

I have a ST 60 knot meter. The unit started reading intermittently and then not at all even though the wheel spun freely and had no marine growth. I replaced the paddle wheel and the speed registered. The old paddle wheel had 5-6 years of annual bottom paint application. I have not gone back to

Nope, our transponder housings are just plastic tubes – the transponder itself has a couple of “O” rings to seal it. My instruments came with a plug which looks just like the transponder without wires and paddlewheel, which goes in when the transponder is out (lately, that is all the time becaus

I have a Raymarine st60 paddle wheel. It is sensitive to how i insert it paddle wheel unit into the tube and i believe that is because the tobe has a little shutter which is supposed to slow water entering the boat when i remove the paddle wheel. My experience with the Nexus paddlewheel is that the transducer bushing develops a bit of shmutz around the bottom perimeter which interferes with the paddlewheel when pushed in. It spins free when removed but binds when installed. You may need to clean the bottom of the bushing. Gary S/V Kaylar

Thanks Dennis. That certainly looks like it would work in the “Classic” thru hull. Did not think Garmin was “supporting” any of the Nexus equipment via replacement parts any more. Seem to recall Nexus stopped using the 43 mm (?) and started using a larger size (78 mm??) a decade or so ago.
