My fuel cap requires a winch handle to open it, however, the “star” shaped
inset is badly worn, making it difficult to unscrew. It is OEM and 30+ years
old (Perko brand), but I can’t find a suitable replacement.
Anyone found one? Or, has anyone been able to refurbish theirs?

I routinely add a biocide (Biobor) and a fuel lube and cleaner (Option-lube
XPD) to my diesel fuel tank. But I don’t use much diesel in a season. I
realize that I add stabilizer to my gas tanks (Stabil) for the outboard and
home generator, but have never added a stabilizer to my diesel tank.

I think Rick has it. I found something that looks identical on ebay. Rick,
are these indeed, reusable?
They do seem to be as the only thing that gets compressed is the hose
between the ferrule and the insert fitting
