IMHO the J-Class were the best, the 12 Meters the second best, and then it all
went downhill after that.
Oddly enough, last I checked the 12 Meter class was surprisingly active, not
being AC boats didn’t seem to harm the class overall.

not that I disagree with you in any way Andrew but, regardless of regatta
or class of boat or year of competition, the 7th race between Alinghi and
New Zealand in 2007 is an all time highlight reel that will be played
forever.and never surpassed so matter what boats we choose to race.

Hi Dwight,
I like seeing the technology too. These first races were just sea trials. The
upcoming races will be better sailed and commentated and the graphics will make
them easier to understand too. I Look forward to learning about the crew

Which is why I don't watch drag racing.
However, many sports attract fans for different reasons. Once you
understand a sport and its intricacies and strategies, you often become
hooked. For instance, after attending a few sumo matches with
knowledgeable fans who explained a lot to me, it became

I watched part of one race, and was bored. The driver could have been
driving a race car for all I knew. Bring back the 12 meters. That I can
relate to. Still, if you want to watch the racing, they're on YouTube.

I think I can relate a little more, having grown up sailing and racing ice
boats. It is pretty much the same. You push off, get the boat going, and
it's all about your optimum apparent wind.

I taped Day 2 of the Prada series a couple of nights ago. I was able to record
the broadcast at 1AM. I think the boats are spectacularly impressive and the
racing is unbelvievably boring. Races are won and lost on pure boat speed.
