Between 7 and 7:30 this morning the Curve-billed Thrasher and all 4 of
the Zonotrichia sparrows showed up at the feeders - 1st year Harris's,
White-throated, Golden-crowned, and several White-crowned including
one adult and several 1st year birds.

As of 10:00 am today 4-9-11 the Neotropic Cormorant is still at Cherry Creek
Reservior. He was with four Double-crested Cormorants at the marina. Get

Hi All,
Yesterday while searching RMNP for pygmy-owls, I found a male Williamson's
Sapsucker. Also this morning while watching a different Northern Pygmy-Owl, I
heard two more Williamson's Sapsucker.
So the spring birind is picking up slowly. Williamson's Sapsuckers usually
arrive a bit

Hi all.
While birding around Durango with wife, Heather, and friend, Amy Dobbins,
we found a first spring male Summer Tanager this morning at Dallabella Park.
The park is on the west side of the Animas River, just upstream from the bridge
at River Road (behind Home Depot). The bird

I did some birding today from 630am to 2pm or so around Pueblo.
I started early by checking Sailboard launching area at Pueblo Reservoir to see
if I could see the Common Loon, that I saw there yesterday, I didn't see it.
While driving down the hill from the dam at Pueblo Reservoir

It sounds like that the grove of trees on the SE side of Road JJ 16 in Bent
County, that we have called the Wood Thrush grove since like 1995, when I
found a Wood Thrush there, was burned badly by the fire out there today. I
remember also seeing rare things like Yellow-throated,
Stepping out of the garage and about to enter the car around 6:30 pm I spooked
a Broad-winged Hawk out of my maple tree. I would have missed it, but its
