Unfortunately, there is nothing on this scanner designed to be user-accessible.
We use a company in-town called Premier Technology Repair, Inc. (formerly

We're thinking about purchasing a turntable for digital conversion for some of
our records. Ideally, it would have 33, 45 & 78 rpm speeds (we've got some
really old records). We've been using Audacity for our reel-to-reel tapes, &
it's been fine. Any suggestio

My only concern was the availability of the format. Istockphoto, for example,

When I say video transfer unit, what I'm talking about is a standalone unit
comprised of various media players (16mm film, VHS, Umatic, etc.); it's not a
computer, & isn't networked. There's also a DVD Recorder, with a Mini DV port.

I've reworked where I'm putting the station; was perpendicular to the transfer
unit, & now is adjacent. This will solve the problem. Thanks.

It's not multi-page, & I don't think it's compressed. This is one of several
thousand files we had to outsource for scanning, because we didn't have the
time or resources to devote. So far, over 1,000 files (all tiffs) have opened
with no problem.

I have a TIFF file scanned by an outside party that won't open in Photoshop
because of "a problem parsing the Tiff file". I've tried opening it in
Irfanview & on a Mac (I'm on a PC). I even tried changing the extension on it
(this actually worked once). Any tho
This sounds like it might be it. The other Mac I tried was a dual-processor
PowerMac, & it worked fine on that one. I'll locate a hub, & try it. There's
no place for attaching a power cord to the drive. Thanks!

If any trace of adhesive remains on the disc, I would back it up using a
tray-loading CD computer, then pitch it. Unfortunately, many of the solvents
used to remove the adhesive could adversely affect the CD too.

On my PC/XP2, when viewing video clips from the iTunes store, the video just
flashes colors, not the video itself. I had a similar problem when viewing
video in Quicktime, but I can't find a similar choice in iTunes.
