Yes, touch /etc/ld.so.preload was dangerous.. once I have a typo
in /etc/ld.so.preload and made the whole system unusable (before I found a
way to boot with rescue floppy).

found all of the new packages so that was a good improvement. It
complained something about evolution while trying to determine
dependencies however.

I ve tried set up Traktopel 3 last night.
At first, when i insert CD-r to Cd rom drive and start Mandrake Installation,
it ask for which languages will be used.Then I selected Japanese.But Japanese
did not dislplay well.I tried Vietnamese instead, the same problem, Vietnamese
font did not corectly

I've resolved that error installing all the mozilla*.rpm files.
Anyone having any luck with reiserfs problem under new kernel? My
fingers are crossed until I try it tonight..
Am I right in thinking that if I get a freeze I might recover by
rebuilding the rpm db and trying update again?

Thanks, I have used md5sums -c md5sum.8.0 and both iso-images are OK;
this night I'll burn the cds and start to trying beta 3.
