I tried to install fa311.o (natsemi.o) module on a
system with kernel 2.2.19. First I got the assembler
message after fa311.c compilation

then, after insmod fa311.o:
Updated local files through mirror a few hours ago (ftp.kddlabs.co.jp).
Created anew a boot disk and installed from scratch.
Problems encountered
1. Network Configuration Wizard during install is broken (has been since
three days ago).
2. Software Manager on X still won't install anything

First of all we need to know if the root file system is working at all.
Boot the rescue system from Your Mandrake CD and try to mount root. Try

replacing NT with Mandrake. We were stuck with MS stuff because the
accounting system was run on Great Pains Solomon 4 (not a typo). I
could have at least converted the web server to Mandrake and let the

with success by many people. The problem is that if something goes
wrong, Reiser gives very few chances to recover compared with other file
systems (*especially* non-journaling).

The following packages aren't building at the moment due to failed
dependancies. Many of them due to libgdbm1-devel-- libgdbm2-devel name
change. Please use generic BuildRequires as much as possible (gdbm-devel
instead of libgdbm2-devel) .
libgdbm1-devel is needed by apache-1.3.20-1mdk

When installing with ftp using dhcp the first time you give it the install
media (FTP server/dir) it fails, when you do it again it work fine.
