drivers successfully loaded at bootup.
I hope this problem is helpful to you guys. I wonder if all Mandrake laptop
users with alsa+oss drivers installed are encountering the same problem.

- Its a single processor but LM detects it as a multiprocessor and installs
the -smp kernel by default.

If I compile a program on LM7.2 and then run it on LM8.0, I get the
followinng error.
error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.1-2.so.3: cannot load
shared object file: No such file or directory
This is what is installed by default:

I couldnt' see the progressbar when I was doing updates.. I found that there
is an update to rpmdrake.. but it also didn't completely solve the
situation.. Here is the output on the console when I tried to install a RPM.
Seems the percentatge is not between 0.0 and 1.0..

they in LM8.0? I couldn't find a RPM for them either.

I am writing this again and again.. but nobody seems to be interested. Here I

I am having serious problems on Dell 5000e laptop with network connectivity.
Troubles started when during installation, my ethernet card was detected

I tried to install LM 8.0 on Dell Inspiron 5000e.. Everything was fine untill
the installer reached "internet connection". There, it detected my NIC
twice.. i.e it showed me that i have two NICs instead of one and asked me to

In the betas I saw that xmag was installed by default although earlier kmag

The installer is looking really good now (except the package chooser
ofcourse!). The screens which are displayed while installing are really
really good.. they give the user a lot of information about linux mandrake
and linux in general.. but maybe you should put more of them to last atlea
