PPC 8.0 (I use it on a new iBook). But I may
switch to a dev distro, depending of its status, on a separate partition or
not.
I'm not a guru, but I can deal with Linux without problems, and I use
exclusively Mandrake's Linux (on my desktop PC, two PC servers and a iBook)

lilo can't install correctly in hde if hda connected.
Why cannot you boot from hda?
Because, since if hda is connected at install, lilo doesn't work, so lilo
refused to provide a boot option on hda, coz it's not present (at install).
