I bought mine online so I could make monthly payments on it so I don't know if
they are sold in local stores. I know the smaller 6 QT or five poin
It stirs on its own. The model is called the Tefal actifry and there are
only two buttons on the unit. One is to turn it on and off and the other
is for an independent timer which I personally never use. It's extremely
blind friendly and easy to use.

Just that I like this model because of the paddle. It stirs chips and
the like so no turning or anything is necessary.

I've had an air fryer for some years. I use an original Tefal Actifry. I
like this model as it has a stirring paddle. Unfortunately, the paddle
can break up crumbed or battered items, so I have an accessory snacking
basket which can be used in place of the paddle for such foods. Hope

Mine does look a lot more like a counter top oven, but as far as I
know, they all use the same type of air flow technology.
Some people have even called them just small counter top convection
ovens. I don't care what it's called, I just know it works very well so
they can call it what they like

I have done fresh cut fries and potato wedges in my air fryer, and they
turned out great, even the first time while I was still learning to use
the thing.
I have done the wedges both ways, with or without skin. It can be done.
