Does couriermlm support such a thing?

Ahh. Somehow I missed that. Thanks. Is the only way to add a
write-only alias to have the subscriber do it or is there a way for the
list administrator to do it?

pprove it.
Have you thought of allowing the database to be stored in LDAP or GDBM -
some kind of configuration choice?

Hi,
I've got courier 0.44.2 installed on a red hat 9 box via rpms I built.
Here are the rpms installed:

courier-webmail-0.44.2.20040207-1.9
courier-imapd-0.44.2.20040207-1.9

Sam,
did you have any debugging suggestions for the ldap alias problem I'm
running into? The alias exists in ldap, courier is talking to ldap, but
the courier smtp server gives a "400 service temporarily unavailable"
message when I try to send mail to the alias.

Courier can be a real bitch to set up. Once it is working, it runs very
well. But getting all the little pieces in place can be painful. Maybe
this is just because I don't have to set it up all that often, so I don't
learn how to work through things well.

3. compile courier twice with different prefixes and run 2 sets of
daemons, each with a different default domain and running on different
ip addresses.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I got it working w/o source mods or 2 sets of courier daemons.
Perdition is adding the domains based on IP address and passing to
courier running on another port. Nifty little program

Brainstorming here: so if there is an SPF record, you can verify the
validity of the 'sending' server and accept or reject accordingly. If
not, why not fall back on greylisting?

tion. Courier's mailing list is lacking
features you might want - things like post only addresses ( subscriber
gets mailing list at home, but wants to be able to post from their work
email, without subscribing from work as well), temporarily turning off
email to them (without unsubscribing)
on systems side by
side with RHEL3. I highly recommend Cent-OS.
