By "merging three files of a room", you you mean that you did some sort of
exposure bracketing, and are trying to do some sort of "HDR merge"? And
your concern is that in the first image you posted, there are round dark
shadows on the ceiling and wall?
How did you do the merge? Darktable itself do
The channel mixer is basically 3 modules in 1:
- using the red, green and blue destinations, it allows you to effectively
do a matrix multiplication on the [R,G,B] vectors:

[Gout] = [Gr Gg Gb] x [Gin]
[Bout] [Br Bg Bb] [Bin]
You use the sliders on the red, green & b

I would imagine what happened was that the user had already imported the
photos into darktable previously. They have accidentally selected all the
images and set the rating to 0, and on lighttable they have a filter
applied which only shows photos with one or more stars. The user sees that

You could try this:

I have tried to use the channel mixer module, but I don't quite
understand it. I have only been able to effectively use the presets.
I have read the user manual, but it didn't help much.
I also looked at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGvkSTjjtMw

Bonjour,
Is there somewhere a clear and full explanation of the css in darktable
ie.: what are header_label, darktable_label, view_label, view_dropdown,
lib-plugin-ui etc. etc.
And what are the available "values" for each?
I am struggling to have homogeneous font sizes for the different panels

I guess it's a bit hard to define what is the "natural" look of bright
sun, because we usually do not look directly at bright sun (since that
could damage our eyes).

Do not get caught up on the Sharpen module. I remember reading an article

claiming that ALL digital cameras do unsharpening with the OLPF, a.k.a., AA

My computer is not very fast (no OpenCL available), so it often takes
several seconds for Darktable to render an image with some non-trivial
development.
Sometimes I want to compare two (or more) different development options
of an image. I either use duplicates and switch between them in the

Hi there!
I started my newly updated Darktable (from 3.0.2 to 3.2.1) this morning
and realized that I can't import any folders with the error message of
"no supported images were found to be imported". I am all in panic,
tried to find out what was wrong until some heavenly person shared his

I think that was me :). I bought a new pc (64Gb, M.2 drive i7 9700, 8
cores, 2 4Tb fast disks in Raid 1) and DT in Linux Mint was blazing fast
compared to DT on Windows (same machine when I decided I wanted to use
Windows + LR for a while).

Bonjour,
The whole problem is in the subject
DT is 3.2.1 version compiled from sources on linux fedora 32
Camera is Nikon D300 (all gphoto2 tests were successful).
Thank you.

DT is great :), the only two things that currently hold me back is that
I still think LR overall does a better job in highlight / shadow
recovery and detail/sharpness. I just played with an image of wooden
beach poles and LR gives me more detail and edge sharpness, even when
adding sharpness +
