Hi Mariana,
what's the exact problem?
From what I understand you have imported the photos to darktable
already to find out afterwards that the filenames are wrong?
In that stage xmp files are created already, so you have pairs of raw
files and xmp files.
Those need to have the same base name.

Hi!
I often see architecture picture, especially low key black & white, but
also high key colourred one, which have a certain "clean" look to them.
It's difficult to describe, but surfaces have lost their fine-grained
structure and appear smooth or have a dull glaze. In extreme cases they

Nice. Here's my try. I like the colors better in my version, but the
haze ist still around (and the mask is very sloppy).

Indeed, for tags there is standard.

You could try some of the things mentioned in the 'Open Source Edit my
Raw' Google+ community; in January, David LaCivita posted a shot with
haze (https://plus.google.com/+DavidLaCivita/posts/guT6gwyi3Vk); I
think the best results were by Carmelo DrRaw, using his PhotoFlow
Editor, but you could try

I don't think so :
http://www.iptc.org/std/photometadata/specification/IPTC-PhotoMetadata
I use some (standard) tags that DT cannot do set such as : location, city,
country, person shown, etc...
So I have to use another tool to tag them (from this point of vi

It can tag your images.
You want to import tag from what BTW? There is no real standard for
xmp.

The most recent version of Lightroom includes a dehaze tool. See

Which Darktable modules can be used to "dehaze" an image?
Thanks. FC

Frankly reading the exchanges it sounds to me that your workflow is far
too complex. I would sit down, learn how to use darktable import,
tagging and collections. And I would fit darktable into play. I also
think that one need to adapt its workflow to a software rich as dt is

Me too! I have a dumb question:
- I understand Darktable is not a file manager, but I realized I have
imported and worked on a shooting without changing the job name: so my raws
and dartktable files are named "no name" I can rename easily my photos
with Dolphin, but what about the *.xmp files?

Absolutely, darktable is great.
I use "rapid photo downloader" to get photos and videos from my canon 1 dx
separated to the correct folders. Then import my raws into Darktable to
edit. I then use Darktable to manage my raw folder collections, moving,
deleting, rating, applying colour labels and key

You could use DT clones to keep old edits.

This adds complexity to the workflow.
dt is meant to be a digital asset management system for the full
workflow - and I am happy about that.
Otherwise I could have used RawTherapee or Lig

I use Shotwell to store my photos and Darktable to edit them.
When I edit a photo darktable leaves the sidecar file
with the original this makes it difficult to find old edits.
Is there anyway to leave the file in the working dir.
