I can reproduce this bug. As scim just finished the libstdc++ allocator
ABI transition, I suspect the reason of the crash is something in gaim

This actually would have better been a feature request for wxgtk 2.4, but it is
done in exgtk 2.6 and so, if you're using aMule with wxwindows 2.6 you will not
have to restart. what's more, it will auto-detect the systray integration to
use, so the "Systray integration" button and dialog have be
must have been some strange bug in wxgtk2.4 since coumns in lists are managed
by wxgtk.
switch to wxgtk2.6 and confirm if this still happens, which i doubt ;)

wxgtk2.6 is available on Debian since some monthsago, just install it and aMule
will have a transparent icon :)
