I'm not sure whether this is a bug in Emacs or a bug in the grep man
page, but since man(1) and 'M-x man' both handle the page fine, I
thought I'd start here.
Reproducible with 'emacs -Q' or 'emacs -q'. Installed version of grep
is 3.8-5.

I have learned more about this. It turns out that it only happens if
the user has not set the xfce default browser app! Without a user-set
default, exo-open defaults to using x-www-browser, but
xfce4-terminal's context menu prefers chromium!

don't have a complete solution for the memory leaks yet, and it's a
