It seems that slapping ipv6 in /etc/modules worked around the problem on
an Ubuntu machine which also exhibited this bug.
I think Shorewall should be modified so that it runs ip6tables
unconditionally.

It seems I am mistaken; although I can play the file with gst-launch, it
seems Gstreamer (and hence Rhythmbox) still chokes on the tags.

I can't seem to crash the server by issuing setxkbmap commands to enact
my Gnome keyboard configuration. I also can't crash a nested server by
launching gnome-settings-daemon.
