is trying to include an internal header which it didn't install.
The reason the header is not there is because libc6-dev-s390 (which
provides a symlink /usr/include/bits - s390x-linux-gnu/bits) is not
installed. You need to build-depend on gcc-multilib to make that
happen.
Cheers,
Sven
retry the compilation with -Wl,--verbose added, and show the
contents of all files under /etc/ld.so.conf.d/.

Hi Wine Maintainers,
during upgrade to 1.4-3 on Sid the following happens:
Setting up wine-bin (1.4-3) ...
update-alternatives: error: alternative link
/usr/share/man/de.UTF-8/man1/wine.1.gz is already managed

I had to move the tmp-dir to a different directory using $TMP and $TMPDIR
to be able to complete the build.

Sven.

APT policy: (600, 'unstable'), (500
on a newer system with ext4 allows the build to succeed

After looking through the build logs it is apparent most buildds don't support
nanosecond timestamps either.

Sven.

This is unlikely to change, it seems. Do you have any plans to do
something about it?

Since version 8.0-1, libglw1-mesa{,-dev} are no longer built because
glw has been removed¹ from the mesa source, which is a problem because
libglw1-mesa unfortunately has reverse dependencies.
AFAICS no release has been made from the separate glw
