That's not what I meant. I just wanted to point out that the icon doesn't
neccessarily have to look like the Libreoffice logo.
To show what I mean I've done some quick drafts for all the "new file"
icons.

Why does the sheet have to have a Libreoffice logo outline?
IMO that's unneccessarliy complex. A rectangle would do the same job and
that'd fit the minimalistic style better.
Also, I think using the logo of an app inside the app is redundant since it
already appears in panels, docks etc.
If I find
i'm in.
regarding tools and formats, i think inkscape + svg is the best solution
for the reasons mentioned here:

hi all
while we are talking about money: how much money would we need to get the
new UI done in, let's say, 2 years?
i think there are are many people out there who would donate a lot of money
if they knew they'd get a new UI anytime soon. we could, for example, start
a kickstarter campaign and ra
they should be aware of when making contributions.
the only thing i'd add is a link to this page from the "get started" page

1. since the banners are really close to the LibO logo on the top of the

using the motif in this ad is a bad idea. i'd have to completely change
everything, so i'd not use it here.

the space between the words is bigger now, and different for every word.
this improves the "word cloud impression" a bit, but it is still
readable.
i hope the space between "donate now" and the document symbol is big

here are some icon drafts.
i started from the 256px icons from the svg on the wiki and added these
square-based pictograms.
these pictograms maybe don't give as much infomation as the current ones,
but in my opinion they have a cleaner style and don't look so crowded.
