major changes:
- upgrade to Spring 5.3.19, fixing Spring4shell vulnerability (even if
ActiveMQ is not directly impacted)
- XBean 4.21 (supporting Spring 5.x) and ASM 9.3

Hi Art,
I disagree: as said on Slack, it works fine with JMS 1.1 with you
provide the right bundle (thanks to dependency flag). So, it's
possible to still use JMS 1.1 bundle (geronimo) if you provide before
installing the activemq-client feature.
If you don't provide jms 1.1 bundle, by default, th
By the way, you can see in activemq-client:
javax.jms;version="[1.1,3)",
So:
1. if your application uses the same range, it works
2. if your application use [1.1,2), than, simple add javax.jms
(geronimo) 1.1 bundle

However, we still have references to Camel in ActiveMQ distribution

Hi Clebert,
I'm +1 about this for the two reasons:
1. I don't think lot of people read the Javadoc on website (personally
I'm reading directly in the IDE)
2. We can still have the javadoc jar published on Maven (not need to

Hi
- Yes, the clients (5.16.x) are compatible with 5.17.x broker
- Java 11 is required broker side, client using Java8 (with previous
AMQ 5.16.x version) for instance can use 5.17.x broker without problem
- No concrete matrix as it's backward compatible in term of protocol.
We plan a compatibility

Hi guys,
I started to work on ActiveMQ 5.18.x major release preparation.
Basically, I propose to include (as major changes, in addition of all
others more "minor" changes :)):
- JMS 2.x support (mostly client and first part broker)
- Spring 6 update
- Jakarta namespace support
I should have the

Hi guys,
We receive several requests to provide a new (final) ActiveMQ 5.16.6
release, including few security fixes/improvements.
So, I submit ActiveMQ 5.16.6 release to your vote. This one should be
the last version on the 5.16.x series, inviting our users to upgrade
to at least 5.17.x (or 5.18.
