In was not aware of any way in the CLI workflow to avoid going into Xcode
(in the case of iOS), or typing 'ant release' (after setting up your
release keys) in the case of Android.

Yeah, only working with self-signed certs is kind of a deal breaker.
Most apps consume an api/server that is also consumed by webapps.

Users need them. iOS apps without the status bar plugin are fairly limited
in how they can be styled, etc. The default is dark text, so only a light

Just as an aside, I go the other way.. I install Cordova locally. This way
I can have different versions of Cordova for different apps. I just use a
build tool (npm run or grunt etc) to call the local cordova .

cordova-cli and a loca

happens in #phonegap.

This won't actually help right now, but that feature detection would
actually be possible if the plugin's "clobbers" was always a child of the
"platform" in plugin.xml.
Right now, most plugins have their clobbers global to all platforms,
supported or not. If the clobbers is a child of the platform
