Well I currently lay a lot of emphasis on the Ecmascript 4 factor. Current
JavaScript being EcmaScript 3.0 or 3.1 (which was renamed to 5.0 but has no

Well, apparently we are not allowed to use committers@ to try to get
committers to submit talks for the client track, even though the CFP went
out on committers@. I will try dev@community.a.o next.

OK, heard back from Cordova. They have 3 talk proposals. I think I'll
try committers@ mailing list to see if other projects are interested.

Last time it seemed as if they had problems filling the slots after the
massacre they had performed due to the split of core and big-data a big hand
full of talks were rejected due to mentioning some Big Data technology in their
abstracts.
Regarding the selection process:

Okay, you can't do this in AS3 :-)
function foo()
{
var var1 = "hello";
var2 = "world"; // global variable
}
In other words, AS3 is always in "use strict" mode!

Have you tried -compiler.strict=false?
Or window.var2 = "world"

Sure, I can contact them. Can you forward the details you sent to the
Cordova team member? If that is not for public consumption, I can write a
new email to the Wicket folks.
Thanks,

OK, I finally got a response from a Cordova person. They are interested
in the client-side track idea. Once they get approval from their dev
list, we should submit talks and do more coordination. I think instead of
cross posting to both dev@ lists, maybe we should try the wider

A track makes it easier to get at least enough talks for the track selected.
Without a track it has to sort of fit into another track. Depending on how they

re-submit updated versions of my last submissions regarding

I've been wondering if there should be a "Client" track as an umbrella for
both Flex and Cordova talks. Especially since FlexJS Mobile is output via
Cordova. If folks think that's a good idea I will hit up the Cordova
folks I know to see what they think.

Hi,
Well I'm currently building a little robot. On that I'll be running BlazeDS to
communicate with a Mobile App ... hopefully I'll be finished with the hardware
part in a Week or so. As soon as that's done I'll submit some Mobile, IoT
related talk to the "ApacheCon NA - Core". If that talk is
