Hi guys,
The Apache Camel community proposed to move Camel Karaf to the Apache
Karaf project (as a new subproject).
As a reminder, Camel Karaf provides:
- support Camel Contexts/Routes as OSGi services (camel-core-osgi)
- Camel components specific to OSGi and Karaf (camel-blueprint, camel-scr,
The Apache Karaf team is pleased to announce Apache Karaf OSGi runtime
4.3.9 release.
This is a maintenance release, bringing a lot of dependency updates
and fixes, especially:
- fix threads leak in karaf-maven-plugin:verify goal
- fix JMX RmiServer stub IP address assignation
- add shell:alias
.
Thanks all for your vote!

Hi guys,
In regards of the discussion we have around Karaf log, the different

Hi guys,
As discussed on the other thread, here's a vote for the new Karaf logo proposal.

Hi guys,
Thanks all for your feedback.
Regarding your comments (it seems cloud logo doesn't convince
everyone), and to represent more the generic aspect of karaf (as
umbrella project), I created a new more abstract logo.

Hi guys,
As discussed on the mailing list, I would like to start a formal vote
to accept Apache Karaf Minho in Apache Karaf.
The proposal is:
- create karaf-minho repository on github
- use github issues/actions for Minho
- rework the website to have all projects at the same level, Karaf
runtime
t;Camel-K" and

That's correct.
My proposal is really more for the website and "marketing".
If you go there: https://karaf.apache.org/projects.html
You can see we have:
- Karaf runtime
- Karaf cellar
- Karaf cave
- Karaf decanter
So, basically, nothing change so much with my proposal. We would have:
- Karaf
subproject (karaf.apache.org), same level as Cellar, Decanter, etc.
So, Karaf "runtime" will appear as Karaf "OSGi" on the runtime, no big
change.
4. We will have then Karaf "Minho" as new subproject, presented as
Modulith Runtime
Thoughts ?

Hi guys,
As already discussed on the mailing list several times before, I think

In a nutshell, K5 is a modulith runtime, able to launch and co-locate

Hi
Your core-db bundle has a header with requirement to JavaJPA contract, so
this contract should be provided by another bundle or feature.
It's not related to runtime but resolver.
A simple fix is to disable the requirement in your core-db bundle (other
option is to provide the capability in
; API anymore).

I guess you have the issue at deployment time while running Karaf right ?
The JDK11 args (add exports, open, etc) are defined in the bin/karaf (or
wrapper conf if you are using the wrapper).

I started to prepare Karaf runtime 4.3.8 and 4.4.2 releases.
I will do a new Jira triage and I hope to submit these releases to
vote end of next week/beginning of the following one.
I also started the refactoring for Decanter 3.0.0. We can expect
Decanter 3.0.0 release on vote beginning
but some sort of clue can help here.

Hi,
It seems the missing part in spring-data bundle. Let me check the
packages exported by the corresponding SMX bundle.

Hi Robert,
IMHO, at some point, jre.properties should be removed with R8 and use
only meta features for non jdk packages.
I would say that we would need a pass about that (I just do first
changes too quickly IMHO).

Hi Matt,
That's a good point. I think Shiro could be an alternative if we bring
some new features in Shiro.
Worth to chat with Shiro team imho.

Hi guys,
I detected a couple of issues, one related to Pax Web. I will release
Pax Web 8.0.6 with a simple fix.
I need a couple of days to complete 4.4.1 release and submit to vote.
Sorry for this small delay.
