I think shindig is much more widely adopted than we realize. Is there a way
to gather feedback on whose using it? Even if this was an opt-in "tell us
about yourself" link, it would be helpful.

In opensocial 2.0 there is a view defined called preferences. I think
adding a new gadget feature that provided a default implementation of this
would be interesting. The way that this could work is that the feature
provides hooks into the gadget menu via the action contribu
We ran into this problem when we had an app that was using flash. We
essentially created a short lived, one time use token that the javascript
part of the app could ask for. It then gives it to the flash part of the

I was trying to get the examples in Shindig working but ran into some
issues. Not sure if this is because of Chrome on a Mac (shouldn't be), but

As an aside, one of the discussions that keeps popping up is if, once we get
the common container in a good state, we should look at bringing those APIs
into the OpenSocial spec as a standard. This might help with compliance
etc... The more we build on this the better.
