Wow...I think that demarc module would not only intersting for home
users, but for every server admin!
Hope any experienced SME developer can write a howto on the installation
process for this tool :)

Well, this would be a very nice add-on! Smoothwall and I thought
Clarkconnect also do have a similar function, so it would be a very nice
feature..a blade of this would be much appreciated :)
So...I think I said enough...keep the good work going and I hope to
download your rpm/blade for this asap
Maybe you should try Powerquest Lost & Found, but when SME already
repartitioned and installed something I think your data is lost defenitely.

Okay Charlie, so I don't need to reply on your previous mail because this is
the whole issue :-). You can't also see the graphics?? Did you also try
http://ipofyourserver:980?? As I described the graphics showed up when I
used this url.
That's why I thought it was a bug in the e-smith manager url
Hi Charlie,
Even with http://www.mydomain.xxx/e-smith-manager the awstats graphics don't
show up!
Okay...I'll forward my original message to the e-smith bug report.

Hi all,
Today I reported a possible bug in mod_gzip when you use it with SME5. I
reported this, because after an uninstallation my awstats graphics appeared
again and my phpbb forum worked.
That was wat I found out at school while connecting via a SSH tunnel to my
home SME 5 manager and server.
Hi,
I recently installed mod_gzip without any problems but I discovered some weird
problems with awstats not showing graphics. I also installed phpBB succesfully but
tried to login as admin for 4 days without succes!
I just uninstalled mod_gzip and now awstats shows me graphics and phpBB works
Hi everyone,
I just saw the awstats rpm at Darrell's server which was updated for SME 5.
I installed it and it seems to work fine. I only don't see any images?! I
think the links are wrong. Is there anyone who also uses awstats under sme5
and knows how to solve this minor problem??
TIA,
Timothé
Hi,
I'm using microsoft messenger a lot here and so do my friends. I found a
masq file for it here:
http://home.tig-grr.com/mmsmasq.tar.gz
Is there anyone who can make an e-smith compatible rpm from this file??
TIA,
Timothée

Hi,
I used the B3 version of awstats a couple of months ago on my e-smith 4.1
server. I know there is a newer version of it, but that one isn't especially
for e-smith and won't install.
Is there anyone who can make a working rpm for the newest (or the older B3
version, that's ok also) version of
And many thanx again Darrell! I just uninstalled the services rpm by leaving
the numbers away, so it has to be rpm -e e-smith-service-control

Hi all,
I got a little problem with my freshly installed sme server (nothing strange
I think for a linux 'newbie').
I hoped the services rpm for the older e-smith server and gateway (this one:
http://www.e-smith.org/contrib/rpm-index/RPM-e-smith-service-control-1.1.0-0
1.noarch.html) was working
Thank you Darrell for your howto!
Do you (or one of the developers) also know why it is disabled by default?
Is it only for tweakers? :)

Hi all,
Yesterday I reinstalled my e-smith server and upgraded it to SME server
v5.0...yesyes...that's not shocking at all I guess :)
But...and that's my question...is e-smith/sme server capable to auto detect
if my harddisk can be run with hdparm (which is a sort of DMA I guess?)??

Well, I created a bootable cd with driveimage on it. I thought this is also
mentioned in the official manual of driveimage. The technique is the same as
on windows. You boot with the cdrom and make an image from all partitions
(just select all 3 partitions) and the compressed image will be burned
I think you should take a look at Powerquest DriveImage 4.0
I also use it...I made a bootable cd for it and when I boot from that cd,
the programm can make an image of my entire harddisk directly on cd by
burning it, but of course it is also possible to write it to another
harddisk.

It is a NAT problem...there is an rpm for icq but not for msn...but are you

Hi all,
I searched the internet for an rpm for my e-smith box which allows me to

where to find this? ICQ is working perfect, but I prefer messenger.

You can use Putty and/or TTSH as good win32 SSH clients.

Hi,
I got a serious problem...maybe it is not that worse, but as a relative
linux newbie I don't know what to do!
First of all, I would like to ask the e-smith webmaster if he could place a
"date" and "requirements/required" field to the contrib pages.
I asked this because I have the follow
Hi Darrell,

Well, I'm using e-smith 4.1.0 :(
Is there still any hope?

Hi David,
Thanks a lot for this solution!! You're the best :) It helped!!! I got
my e-smith manager backand also the disappeared images are
backfortunately it was only a permissions conflict...
And your english isn't that bad at all :) I think it is even better than
mine...

Okay...but I think I can better ignore point 1how can I easily
Yes ofcourse an upgrade to 4.1.2 will be the best, but e-smith 5.0 will be
released very soon, so I think I better can wait for thatand I was
looking in the wrong folder on e-smith ftp :) I'll try the update base rpm
for e-smith 4.1thanx for the correct url...
