Square brackets [ ] that are in some song titles are generating multiple
listings in SlimServer. Correction to round brackets ( ) fixes the
problem.

I've been using my SB for over a year now without trouble (other than
the very occasional audio drop-out) until now.
Last weekend whilst listening in the wee small hours, after about an
hours trouble-free listening, the audio started to drop out in a
strange way. A few seconds would play then a

modem/router, the wireless card in my PC or indeed the PC itself. I
One simple test you could do: use a wired connection to the SB. If it's
ok, then, focus on wireless problems (neighbour microwaving food all day
long etc.)...
When can we expect a patch or update?

I want to start backing up my collection of FLAC files to DVD. My

I currently have a 3Com Office Connect ADSL Wireless 11g Firewall router
but it's giving me all manner of grief. My various wireless devices
keep losing the connection and then will not connect again unless I
reboot the rooter. That's another story though - I'm not asking for
support here!
I have had lots of luck with Dlink products, DSL-G604T is the 54g WAP
variant of their ADSL router which also has 4 x 10/100 wired ports. I use
this with SB2 and it is rock solid.
I previously used their DSL-504T ADSL router with a separate DWL2000 AP+ 54G
WAP - again rock solid but too many

Well, in the past I would have recommended a Belkin ADSL Wireless Router. I
have a 7630-4AUK model, which has been pretty good.
It has been left on pretty much continually for about a year, with only a few
crashes. However, this weekend it has started to give me grief. It's

Is it possible to disable the router in your current device and just
use the ADSL modem part? You'll have a wider selection of wireless
access points/routers to choose from and will save some money to boot.
I'm hoping to get my money back for the 3com - it's less than 6

Can you describe this growth? Was it some kind of mold? Ick.
It was difficult to tell what it was, even under magnification as it

Hadn't used the wireless functionality until I got my Squeezebox 2 last

Hi there,
I got my squeezeBox2 last week and am so far VERY happy with it...
I'm just wondering what firmware version I should have... I currently
have version 8 but on another post I saw someone mentioned that they
have version 11.
How do I upgrade the firmware? When I first turned on the
