Some more info about this:
I run SlimServer from a cmd-file (not service) on XP SP2
MusicMagic is done analysing, and SlimServer has scanned the files (the
mmm-icon is present). I've set the update-inverval to 0 in the
MusicMagic plugin setup page to disable further scanning.
The problems:

My wireless SB2 is being fed by a Linksys WRT54GS router, and all works
well - until I introduced my Thomson 510 ADSL modem.
With the modem active and online everything works 100%, but if I drop
the internet connection, the modem appears to disable the router and
wireless LAN stops. As a result

There's something odd about how the 'sort' version of artist and album

punctuation is removed and replaced by spaces.
That seems reasonable enough to me.

I currently have a SBG1 and use the IR--xPL functionality to use the SB
as a universal IR reciever.
I have read a few messages on this board saying that this functionaliy
is not working with SB2. Is this true? I think someone said that it
wasnt picking up IR signals other than from the

But I think it depends on the model of your remote. While I did not
have any luck with a cheap universal remote I'm now successfully
So you have not programmed your NAD to the slimdevices codes? You have
just left the remote alone and made a new .ir/.map file for that remote.
Exactly.
Does anyone have the SB2 reacting to JVC DVD codes?
I just can confirm that my JVC does _not_ work with SB2, but with SB1 and
SliMP3.
The question is the title. The title is the question. Any idea?
I own a SB1 and tried ripping a Dolby Digital 5.1 file to FLAC. Playing
it back through SB1, with fixed digital volume, did not work on my DD
enabled receiver (as in: no sound at all while the tags got read
correctly).
Is it

Thanks. I built a little reflector antenna and it does seem to have
made a difference.
Cool. Glad that helped. Did you build one just for the SB, or did you
do both ends? Might see even more gain with two.

Anything I can do to solve this?

I have been testing Softsqueeze sync with SB1 and SB2 this evening, and
other than a couple of glitches it has worked with no audible delays.
This is proving a really tricky problem to debug; for starters could
people who are having problems post the Softsqueeze debug with Player
and Javasound
I'm have observed hex IR codes in the Xpl messages from my SB2 when
other remotes are used in the same room. I don't know if this is the
case for every code/remote I have as I wasn't testing for this
behaviour at the time. I have 4 in 1 remote and could try out a few
manufacturers codes if you
i think this would also be great!! (SIRIUS)

OK, I dug more into this and found it's not a SlimServer problem at all.
It's just that SoftSqueeze won't seem to play the stream that comes out
of a Live365 broadcast through the SlimServer. If I plug Windows Media
Player (ugh) into port 9000/stream.mp3, then I get the sound.
