Whenever I do a random mix and want to skip to the next song by either
using the remote or slimserver software the song pauses for a couple
of seconds after about 10 seconds into the song. This is not a random
occurence, it happens all the time. THe time stays at 0:00, then after
about 10 secon

this time it duplicated the problem, so instead of having 4 of the same

I just posted on a similar issue in this forum. Was there any fix to
this? I hate to have to download tag and rename to fix all of this
because there are hundreds of albums affected by this on my computer.

My slimserver software went "nuts" tonight and I have no clue why. I
was missing a song from one of the albums (it vanished from the
slimserver software not my hard drive) so I did a "clear everything and
rescan" function and when it was finished all hell broke loose.

After going back and reading the manual, I noticed it does say
CROSSOVER cable. I think that might need to be printed in BOLD. My
previous wireless bridge ran off a standard ethernet cable. I'll pick
one up and try it again.

I did try it out. I was actually writing some software to interact with
slimserver and it worked better in 6.5.
I switched back to see if my app would work with 6.2.1 and I guess I
never switched back.
When I get home tonight, I'll install another 6.5 nightly, and get on
with it.

Hi! I am having trouble playing back continuous albums using the
Squeezebox, such as albums by The Beatles. All my music is ripped into
variable bit rate MP3's using LAME 3.90.3. When I play albums in Winamp
or Foobar they playback with no gaps. On the Squeezebox (v3) there is a
gap between tracks
Does anyone have a picture of the inside of the SB3 (maybe taken while
they were doing a mod)?

This may sound a bit out there but - Run MSconfig. Go to the "Startup"
section. Uncheck any apps that were recently installed or that are
starting in the tray that you don't need.

Yes, I heartily recommend you go in and change the default settings on
your router - especially if you're seeing another router.

unit (and also, deactivate it ofcorse when powering off). I would like
to do this, to power up my amp. This way, i can turn on/off all that I
need with the push of 1 button.

Hello All,
I tried playing WMA in native format, in Squeeze-box 2.0. Whenever, I
click play from the server, the "Play" option is not getting enabled.

Yes, that did sound quite tricky. Also it doesn't seem to be possible to
capture the sound indefinitely, a time period is required.
Anyway, followiTunes is done as-is:
it's not supposed to be a plugin, because your SlimServer might not be
on the same machine as iTunes.
