It sound's like you may have installed 6.5 over a non-6.5 installation
without deleting the Program Files/slimserver directory. Unfortunately
the uninstall of 5.2/3 etc does not remove all the files left in this
directory

fixed in 6.5.1 nightly builds (has been for a very long time)

The SB1s have a totally different hardware architecture at the lowest
level, the MP3 decoder is hardware, not software, so likely no such fix
is possible on the older hardware. That excludes sliMP3s too.

The scheduling ('Tivo') can easily be handled by the operating system. I
remember a post some time back where a user gave his example of

I don't think the Guess Tags has anything to do with it, since making
edits to the real tags is what causes the problem. The filenames don't
change during the testing mentioned above.
