Had the same problem as most of you. scanner.exe crashed after 157 files of ~15,000. Found out that it was a wav file. Both Windows Media Player and Winamp could play the file, but I disabled wav audio file extensions in SqueezeCenter and now scanner works ok. (I'm using Version 7.0a1 beta) --

I'm curious about the state of playlist management generally in 7.0. Adding songs to an existing saved playlist is fairly tedious in 6.5, at least with Fishbone. I haven't experimented with 7.0 yet, but if playing with playlists has been improved (in any skin) That's still on the todo list
