I was previously running the SlimServer software included with my
Infrant NAS. Too slow (the web server anyway). I have now installed the
MAC version on a mac mini with the NAS mounted as the music file source
- this works MUCH faster, especially the web browser running on my

you get a 802.11 controller.
Then add additional receivers for $149.
Look around, but you'll be unlikely to find a better/easier/cheaper

Sounds it could be a firewall problem, where the firewall isn't allowing
the scanner to execute. The error message may be a little misleading,
or it could be that the firewall just doesn't let SlimServer see the
scanner executable.

Clearly this is a YMMV thing - however I have noted over the years that
many peoples problems have diminished when using static IP's.
This isn't an either/or thing. I use a static IP for my SB and SC7 box
- and my wireless print server - and DHCP for everything else.

That seems to be a good spec. It's been a while since I looked at the
source of the wav2input application but it hooks into the Windows sound
system and asks Windows for a copy of the sound stream that will be
output to systems that sends sounds to the speakers.

I never had this problem with 6.5.1 on XP home (my laptop), so I may
try 6.5.1 on WHS.
Currently it's wired via router to the WHS, and no IP conflicts, power

Cisco VPN client; since then the SB3 cannot link to SC until the VPN
client disconnects.
I've opened the slimserver.pref but there is no httpport statement.

It would have been slick to be able to config the SBR without the SBC.
It wouldn't seem all that difficult to offer this ability. I can't see
paying the extra $299.00 just for initial setup. In my case

Please download the installer file again, uninstall the previous version and do
a clean re-instal
and in the UKlogitech should be careful about advertising
functionality and facilities that are not available in the country they
are selling the itemmisleading to say the least!
