The SB3 has a much larger buffer than the SB1.
Something is badly wrong with your wireless network (not the SB).
Probably interference from something. Do you have your PC wired to the
router or are both the PC AND SB talking wirelessly to the router?

Hello since i installed slimserver on my new computer i've had an
annoying problem.
Everytime i put some new music in my music folder the squeezebox can't
find it when i try to search for it despite perfect tags.
But when i browse the music folder in the SB then i find the new music.
And if i go
The PC is wired to the router. The router is a Linksys WRT54G
with Tomato Firmware.
Tomato reports signal quality of 41 for the SB3, signal quality
for the 2 SB1s in more remote areas of the house are 44 and 47.
I never have problems with the SB1s. It is odd that the signal
quality for the SB3
I'm not sure it's the same issue, but the resolution might help
me - not getting stuck on the rebuffering phase.
I'm not using Squeezenetwork or Internet radio when this happens,
it is all my own local mp3 files. Thanks for the pointer to the
bug...

I've been trying to keep things as simple as possible while
trying to figure it out - there's no sync or rate limiting when
the rebuffer occurs. I'm going to have to start trying some of

WPA + TKIP
WPA2 + AES

Make sure you turn off any super bandwidth modes (like mine claims I
can get 104Mbps if I use it... rgh), the negotiation process on
these can sometimes confuse clients. It may be that your router is

Your problem may be the TS109. Playing Apple lossless will mean either
1. the TS109 will the decode Apple lossless and re-encode back into
Flac.
or
2. TS109 decodes Apples lossles to WAV and transmit this over Wifi
which is a high bandwidth user.
Try using using Flac and not apple lossless as
I bought my first SB3 a couple days ago, having purchased a QNAP TS109
with a couple of 500mb discs a couple months ago, and having started to
rip my CD collection to Apple lossless format, looking forward to having
good sound in my living room via SB3 and 802.11g, (the QNAP being 2

2. Disconnected the AP and powered off.

Add does add to a *temporary* playlist, but the moment that you press
Play rather than Add you zap the old playlist and start a new
one...note the emphasis on temporary. However, there is a Save
feature for playlists, so use this next time you line up a long
playlist and then it will be visible
