I find the new changed scanning to be quite fast. On my old P4
Windows server a full scan of 21,000 Flac files takes about 26 minutes.
A new changed scan takes only 2:20.

I some time ago lost whatever program I had that showed tags in
Explorer so this tip was useful! Can one tweak it to show for example
replaygain info also and other things included in the tags ?

I have to say it's one of the best action/drama flicks that I've seen.
Great fun and a fantastic job by Heath Ledger as the Joker. He is so

You don't say which model.
A whole back, there was issue with the fit of the power connector and
that in some instances if wiggled by a user, cause intermittent power
connection and a reboot.
If it is a mechanical fit issue - contact support.

computer. It's a somewhat complicated system, since the music is housed
in an external hard drive attached to the router (in a separate part of
the house). But, for the most part, the system worked ok

private IP of the computer SC is on.

going to be any good or not, and toms hardware routinely bashs them,
sometimes scathingly.
my advice to people who want really good wireless? get a so called
gaming router and spend the $100. its so worth it.

I have an extensive MP3 library (about 27,000 tracks) which is
organized with iTunes. I have recently acquired a QNAP TS-101,
installed SC7, and moved the library there. The problem is that SC7
only includes about 19,000 of the tracks in its own library, even
though SC7 does see all

but must the path be hardcoded?
isn't there a way to use a relative path somehow so if the drive
location changes the playlist is still good?

different? Try making them the same in the order you want and see if it
changes things. I know that SC is supposed to use tags only, or at
least I think that's the case but file names can affect how things are

I just upgraded to SqueezeCenter today and it's painfully slow for me as
well. Mine is on an Ubuntu server though (Hefty Heron). It's running on
a 1.92ghz AMD with over a gig of memory which I would have thought
would be sufficient. If anyone has any ideas on how I can improve
