Hi Frank,
I love the promise of this ACC.
I gave it a try and can't get it work. I am running SqeezeCenter on a
WHS.
I installed the ODBC driver and configured the access on the Server,
editing the my.tt file as explained.
I mapped a drive to the Music Share on the Server.

No. As kdf said in his post, 7.5-embedded is _not_ the same thing as

What we refer to as TinySC/TinySBS is just one configuration of the
embedded code. It's the configuration used on SB Touch which disables a
few memory intensive features using startup
You can make any embedded installation a TinySBS by adding those
parameters. The code of the two is the same.
Is it possible to turn off those memory intensive features on the
regular SBS to save resources if I don't have anything older than an
SB3?
Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to say
Anti-virus products, particularly those with on access scanning
features can definitely affect the performance of the software used to
run the SB3 on a local server.
The most normal problems are with the anti-virus stopping scans from
completing, but your problem sounds a bit different.
Hello guys
I have targetted all the issues you have brought up or complained about
;-).
Besides I added an IRBlaster mode (activated in the 'settings')
The latter is yet untested as I have no SB 2/3 -- only a Duet.
I would love feedback - particularly for IRBlaster.
Cheers

I had a lengthy conversation in the german forum.
And my understanding now is that IRBlaster requires volume commands
like
volume +5 rather than volume = 45
So if activated, SlimCtrl sends +/- volume commands.
The volume slider is then replaced by volume up/down buttons.

Yes, for basic backup/restore purposes this is a decent solution.
But it's not worded in a way that would make sense to the less than

As stated by others there is no fixed limit.
I think i remember someone having something like 30 sb3's in
guesthouse, hotel or something like that. But I don't remember the
details, and certainly they wont all play at the same time.
Certainly at least 10-15 players is feasible:

Has anybody else figured out what URL is required now?

The server can handle as many as you want, the limit you will run into
is wireless bandwidth (or ethernet bandwidth). Just do the math on what
you want to stream and work out how much bandwidth you will need.

Or, does xbmc use embedded album art?
We don't put cover art in FLAC files. XBMC uses cover.jpg.

I suspect that playing a different 24bit 96kHz flac file for each duet
or SB3 would stress the server is has to run SOX transcoding to each
player.
But a bunch of unsynced players playing mp3 files or web radio? that
could be a large buch of players indeed.
I can see the motel room radio
I have had 2 duet receivers, 2 duet controllers, 1 SB3, and 3

different mp3's simultaneously without issue. The server is about 6
years old and has a 2.6GHz P4 Northwood (1 core, no hyperthreading) with

Indeed - I just installed the 7.5 embedded version (which doesn't use

I'm also running MSE with SBS 7.5 using MySQL with no issues. I use my

Just to be really, really clear :-) I think I understand the position
now - is this right:
1) There is a rearchitecture of the server to allow a smaller
footprint, that supports SB1 and slimp3.
2) This allows an install on the touch, that disables support for SB1
and slimp3 due to memory

I've spent countless hours trying to figure out what triggers this, but
whatever it is; its caused by Logitech's backend servers interacting
with the clients. This only occurs with mysqueezebox.com related
subscription services.
Sirius playback = You are not authorized...
Slacker plaback = You
Slacker does mind, in fact this restriction and error comes from them.
Try logging into Slacker from 2 different computers and see what
happens. :)
It is possible you can get the error when you haven't actually logged
in anywhere else, I am not sure what causes that.

Andy, thats exactly what I'm talking about... It's the opposite of what

Multiple accounts have been supported for both Slacker and Sirius for a
