OK, got BBCiPlayerExtra installed and working - great. Now, a very basic
question. I am assuming that I can only access this plugin (and the
Squeezebox BBC plugin) via my local Squeezebox server...so, I have to
leave my PC running? Or buy a standalone server that can be left
running?

How are custom titleformats set on SbS supposed to be handled? I set
one for a Boom player about an hour ago on SbS 7.5 embedded, but haven't
seen it change yet on either test.mysb.com or www.mysb.com.

Specifically, the Linksys WRT54GL. The trailing 'L' denotes
compatibility with 3rd party firmware. I have mine loaded with DD-WRT,
and it's been rock-solid for years.

Your SqueezeServer in your computer transcodes an Apple file to a Flac.
With a flac file it does no transcoding and streams the file as is. The

I just upgraded from a Linksys WRT54G to a Linksys WRT610N, ver 2. I am
very pleased with the upgrade. I highly recommend this router.
The version 2 is the currently shipping version from Amazon.
I had some weak points in my G network before the upgrade. Now it is
all solid.

I don't think it is possible at present, though it may be possible for

If the Apple Lossless files were definitely streaming to the player as
Flac (and not MP3) then there *should* be no difference all.
It is a bit worrying that you have heard some. A perceived difference
in sound quality can sometimes come as a result of a volume change. It
does seem unlikely, but

Makes me think that bitrate limiting might have been turned on, and set
to a low quality mp3. Seems I recall that LAME V9 (very low quality) was
the default on bitrate limiting when I installed SbS. So perhaps he was
accidentally listening to 32kbs files.

That URL is for a BBCiPlayer console which would play on a browser. The
playable URL for a BBCiPlayer program using Flash /Audio will
typically start with "RTMP://" and even then it will only be valid for
at most 7 days.
