That's pretty much what it looks like on mine. Except my CLI port is
9090, are you sure yours is on 9002? Other than that I don't know. You
could download the source and use Qt SDK to debug into the problem, but
that of course requires some understanding of the internals...

Great, thanks!
I will look into Bliss.
Yes I know that Google images can be crappy sometimes.
But for iPeng they are good enough I think.
I only have a Boom and a Classic so I've had no opportunity to test on

haven't you tried iPeng on the iphone?
I recently stumbled over 'Bliss' and wrote a blog post about it:

Hi, first post!
I created a little tool for downloading album art and put it in the
corresponding album folder. So far is it only working with MP3 files.
I did this to get album art available in iPeng.
This is the functionality:
* Scans a root directory for mp3 albums (only).
* Reads the id3v2

Here's the good news: WiMP handled quickly and now allows us to stream
MP3/256kbps to _all_ players.
If you're running your own SBS you'll have to update to the latest 7.5.2 or 7.6

WilCox's suggestion should embed the art inside the music files, which
Squeezebox should be able to pick up.
The alternative is to save a file per directory.
All the supported ways that Squeezebox can read artwork are documented

It depends on what you mean by "the standard plugin." If you mean
MusicIP plugin without Spicefly then MusicIP should generate a playlist
that can be viewed in the various Squeezebox interfaces. I haven't used
