Google have enlightend me. QoS is used to priorities wireless trafic. I am on cable and I experience buffering when change from one folder of 24bit/96KHz musik to another. There is no buffering when changing from one file to another in the same folder. Is that a known bug? -- nicoleif

So it took ages for anything to happen, but when I switched to a BBC iPlayer programme, I suddenly heard single distorted tone, and lots of pa_callback: SLIMAUDIO_BUFFER_STREAM_UNDERRUN appeared in the log. Have attached it if it helps at all.

It's not the power consumption so much as the way the system works. I don't think there is a way to turn off the SB3 from the in-room controls without totally powering it off through the switched receptacle, which cuts the power totally. The system was designed with CD players in mind, not SBs.
