SqueezePad and 7.6
if you upgraded to 7.6 and SqueezePad is crashing all the time, then
please try to set a new playlist on each player via the web-interface.
Seems some bogus data gets send from time to time after the upgrade,
though I haven't been able to reproduce this myself.

No, I am using Squeeze Commander. As you requested I tried controlling
from the web also, would not do anything. If I press the hard keys for
volume, it will increase, but will usually decrease the volume shortly
after.

Some of them can sometime make it take a bit of time to startup SBS.

I have WIN 7 SP1 and until recently I could access the green background
Web page by using the URL "HTTP://127.0.0.1:9000" If I type this URL
into a browser the green background page appears but I just get a

SBS isn't installed on the laptop but I access SBS on the NAS by going
to the IP Address of the NAS using the laptop.

The only thing that comes to mind is if you switch the Boom between SBS
server and MySB.com, each server may have a different setting for Line
In.
I'd check via the web UI for both, make sure it is set to OFF on both.
And again, if you created that MAC address on your own there may be a
conflict

Check the player's screensaver settings in the web interface. If they've
changed, just reset them.
If they change again, it's probably because of broken SBS integration
with mysqueezebox.com. You'd probably want to disable integration in
Settings > mysqueezebox.com in the web interface.

The ancient one doesn't display the clock when off. The other one
(logitech) it works OK.
What is happening?. I think this worked OK before installing 7.6.0

sorry, yes I meant the MAC address. it's mine. accesses all my
favourites and so on. I can't understand why it switches to line in.
but even if it wasn't my MAC address, is there even a setting that
would make the boom suddenly go to line in mode halfway through an

Does Logitech run any RSS feed that announces release of new
software/firmware updates? Many other firms do that so their customers
can keep track of the updates. I was only made aware of the newest
release (7.6.0) when my SB Boom all of sudden turned itself on and
updated its firmware last night.
I have installed Java, and the new JDK for Lion. But the softsqueeze
install page on my mac does not recognize Java, and sends me off to
Oracle.
I have Java, and the old SoftSqueeze is working nicely.

problem was that browsing was too slow for me. Each time I go into
Artist or Album I had to wait some time until artists or albums showed
up. So I quit with that.

files, squeezebox.com or spotify, the boom will switch itself to line

This is probably obvious, but worth mentioning. It sounds as though
this disk is used for occasional backups (plug it in, do a backup,
