I forgot to add that the entire music library has been rescanned. And
"playlists" does show in the menu selection panel in the SB
preferences. It just will not show on the SB menu panel itself. Random
Mix does, and works. Most odd.

I think that in hi-end audio there will continue to be 'network' music
players developed, but most or all of them will be DLNA based. Very few
audio companies can afford to develop software on the scale of
Squeezebox Server.

I had a lot of issues the first few days after it came to the US, but it
has been pretty good lately. Only time I have issues now is when my
internet connection is poor during "prime time" hours (my ISP is on the

I was able to fix the Rhapsody non play issue by plugging my SB3 Classic
into my wired network, disabled "bridging", went back to wireless and
fine. This needs to be fixed as I use this feature. However, I also own
an Integra DHC 40.2 which is connected to my wireless network via a
Linksys wrt54gs

Sounds like you either:
- have some playlists in the playlist folder that refers to other
files
or
- have the iTunes integration activated under SBS
Settings/Advanced/iTunes
or
- have the MusicIP integration activated under SBS
Settings/Advanced/MusicIP and set to "Import all song data from

I'm getting duplicates in my track listing, one showing
/mnt/Music/Watermark and one showing /mnt/music/Watermark (capital M).
However there is only one file, confirmed by SSH to the server.

Uninstall 7.5.6-
Now playing art doesn't show for the "Not So Sirius plug in" either.
Though if you hold you mouse over the placeholder it does popup with a
bigger picture of the actual art.

The "real art" never shows up no matter how many other stations I play,
even after being able to see "real art" on last.fm. Is there a way to
clear the cache? Shutting down entirely, pulling the plug and
restarting don't seem to do it.

At the moment I personally don't think there needs to be a future for
streaming devices. Squeezebox is the best and there is nothing out
there that competes with it in terms of scalability.
The fact is that there is nothing new in audio that will change things
drastically in future at least unti
Same with Apps like Sky, RadioIO, DI, none have NP station art nor
thumbnails in the station listings menus.
The Soma App does have thumbnails in the station listings menu, but no
NP station art.

I'm just basing that on the fact that every PC/Mac OS update creates
new issues with SBS for some users. How much of the fix for these
update glitches are resolved on the SBS end vs the user making tweaks
on his end I dunno.

A mate runs an awesome service for anyone interested.
46 Sky channels including Sky Sports 1-3, all the movie channels, TV
guide & huge resource of radio channels FOR A TENNER A MONTH. No
messing about with proxys or any catch.

SBS would continue to work as now, but you could not update your OS
platform. So if the last SBS version is for Win7, you could not update
your SBS server computer to Win8 and expect it to function. I'm just

Yes you could use your SB Touch indefinitely if Logitech vanished
tomorrow. Only the mysqueezebox.com side of things would stop working.
You could still use it for local music playback and internet radio.
You would lose the various services like Naptser, Pandora etc Some of

updated to 7.6 final also with no problems.
It's not all bad for everyone. I have a lot of single file flac images
with embedded cuesheets and album art that work great too.

Regardless of all other (valid) advice, I would make a clean
installation of version 7.5.3. In my opinion the most trouble-free and
stable version since "forever". I have just returned to it myself.
