Since the weekend I have been having issues keeping Pandora streaming on
my squeezeboxen. After about an hour I receive the message the system
cannot receive the info for the next track and all my devices either
display "PANDORA_" or go into standby.
As a test I opened Pandora on my tablet and it

If you want to spread rumors, at least post links to where you have seen
them posted.

not sure if this is true, but there is talk that there is a replacement
coming up for the Squeezebox Touch, called the Touch Advance. Anyone
heard about this ?

Sorry, I mixed "OS" up with "Operating System". No OrangeSqueeze is not
even on the top-list of power consumers, even Google Maps is more
prominent although that App has done nothing but crashing on startup
since I installed the update
So your connection is probably down, indeed.

Thanks.
My guess is that there's only a connect
Allright. The player is getting power. The network connection light on
the switch illuminates when I plug it in. So it is like this thing is
not booting. I tried to do a factory reset but nothing happened. (hold
the + key when plugging in)

You can still get them used on eBay.
If you want to turn your HTPC into a Squeezebox install Squeezeplay.

I tried a couple of different psu and none of them worked. Also I
removed the wifi from this unit yea
Well, there certainly still _is_ a connection (after all, at least SP
communicates with the server) and OS/WiFi are (a distant) #2 and #4 in
the "battery drain" list at 13% and 8%.
I'll send the logs when it happens again.
Does the optical connection light up ?
If not check PSU ?
If it does then try removing the wifi card as a faulty wifi card will
prevent a SB classic from booting.

OK, good, thanks Pippin. I'm going to release a new preview sometime
today, and I will add a bit of temporary logging to it that won't
require you to enable 'verbose logging' to see. I'm hoping it
There's a small update of iPeng UE now available on the App Store
(1.0.1)
It fixes some issues with player and server handling (you can correctly
select a Radio even if you have more than one and inactive servers go
away)
And the "Search" menus are now also available on iPhone.

Hi all
My SB classic just died. Not sure what happened but it is not powering
up.
I was wondering if I could get some suggestions. The system where this
died is near an htpc. Is there a way to go coax out on the pc to my amp
and still use LMS? I want to keep LMS because I have a boom and a du
Yes. Actually all of what you write would be the behavior I would expect
and want.
Unfortunately, it's not what I've been seeing recently when I had
SqueezePlayer running all night even though I didn't touch my Nexus and
it was not connected to external power.
It doesn't happen all of the time (ar

So for 1.3.x, I would expect that Orange Squeeze would keep the local

Apple were actually the driving force behind removing DRM from
downloaded music so if anybody helped you to actually "own" downloaded

I am glad that solution works for you, but the reason most of us are
still part of this forum and community instead of hanging out in the
Apple fanboy groups is that we either prefer the superior functionality

I am hoping that by running LMS on a dedicated Linux box that I don't
need to update in any way, I can keep LMS running for a long time.
My music streaming pre-amp (a Musical Fidelity M1CLic) supports UPnP.
However, having spent some time adding extra tags to my music (mainly

A (very) minor irritation for me is that Squeeze Player will start up
randomly for no obvious reason. Usually I am away from home so not using
any of the three SqueezeBox controller apps I have installed, or any
other music apps (Last.fm, Poweramp, Spotify) yet Squeeze Player will

Airfoil is just a hacked version of AirPlay. Can't make a "system" out
of that.

I keep meaning to write to Rogue Amoeba and suggest that they consider
developing their 'Airfoil' (http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/) product
into a music player system that could serve as a Squeezebox replacement
- they've got the streaming-audio-over-the-network bit, how hard would
it be to in

This may be a moot point but I haven't got any time to listen to my
