That suggests that the SBR doesn't think it is connected on a wired
network. Have you tried another cable? If you are plugging directly
into a PC, are you using a crossover cable?

you have changed the file sharing protocol, eg
osing. Then use it to strip all the dates to 4
characters so that the YEAR tags are legal. Both of these operations
will be a single operation for your whole library, so quite asy to do.

I can't think of a way to get SS to ignore those tags. One possibility -
if you want to hold on to the data - would be to copy the tags from say
ARTISTSORT to ZZARTISTSORT, which will be ignored by SS. You would then
retain the option of copying it back later.

This may be related to a bug in MySQL about sorting - there are several
threads on this here, I think. I believe it is specific to a particular
range of MySQL versions.
The other possibility is that you have some screwed up ARTISTSORT tags,
but my money is on the first one...

Its a dead cert that you have some inconsistent tagging within the album
- even if you have looked with a tagger and they seem to be all the
same. If these are mp3's - you probably have ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags, use
mp3tag to delete the v1's.

OK, so its add-and-hold to add after the next item, but the
functionality is still there, Read some recent threads about party
mode in which a similar request is discussed. There is a very simple
change you can make to the key-mapping file if you feel so inclined.

Second, for troubleshooting, you might want to simplify the network a

router?
Finally, is iTunes involved at all? If it is, turn off the connection
and see if that makes a difference.

If its a perl module "pluginname.pm" then you can just put it in the
