The N770 skin works great except the lower gray bar becomes fixed once

I have an oldish panel type portable PC that I wish to implement as a
software based squeezebox around the home.
It has a pentium 233 MHz processor. It will be running linux (most
likely gentoo). I cannot recall how much RAM it has as its a while
since I powered it up!
Is it going to run

This method is not as elegant as a all-in-one factory unit, but also
keeps your Squeezebox available for use inside without sticking an ugly
boombox on the shelf.

The reason for the later part of the question was to try and avoid
re-tagging files in the future.
All my tags are currently correct. I use TagRename and I use ID3v1 and
ID3v2. The tag info is the same on v1 and v2.
