Doyou have any plugins installed? The only time I saw anything like this
was when my server lost outbound connectivity due to a network
misconfiguration - the plugin I use to display weather reports seemed
to cause a lot of slowdown as it tried to connect.

Well up/down aren't there any more as you use drag drop to move the

How many do you want? :) There's probably a point where it becomes
tricky from a network management point of view but I would think
anything up to 100 or so should be fine if you have the bandwidth. I've
had up to 3 on my network here.

The default is now to run as an application (so it starts when you
login). However, if you want it to run as a service instead (starts at
bootup) there's an icon in the start menu to switch it over.

most users would be happy with it as an app and it would cut down on
support calls.

Very little! There are a few reasons it's useful (switches off the
output lines which can help some amps auto-swtich) but in general it's
there on the SBR and all the other SB players because people complain
if there isn't an off switch ;-)

Also, the controller will allow you to write you own applets (in Lua)
and load them onto it. But given the slim nature of the players, the
fact that the server is open means you can do pretty much anything you
want from there.

By current playlist I mean whatever's showing in Now Playing. Could be
