Correct, Remote Control > Favorites cannot access the OPML file. I'm
guessing for two reasons:
1. MySB web UI cannot understand folders nor OPML
2. the OPML file is a link to a file, it's not actually a "favorite"
as MySB web UI would understand it

This is great. One of my wife's complaints about switching between SBS
and mysb.com (when we let our server go into suspend state) is that the
Favorites look different, because I have folders on SBS but not on mysb.
I think my favorites.opml will soon be my _only_ Favorite on mysb.com.
When test
I'm using MyDataNest.com
Recommendations for any simple to understand file sharing service that
maintains the same URL for updated (replaced) OPML files are great
appreciated. :)

correct, and to folks reading this, do double check what you get with
your internet service. I had no idea

you're using. I don't think changing URLs would be an issue with
ordinary web server space.

It really does work nicely. I manage these station favorites on SBS
then do the OPML upload to my online file share service.
But an FYI to others using this concept, there are some catches.
Issues using SBS to manage these:
1. SBS should have a separate MySB (or internet radio) OPML folder so

Well, you can vote for 'bug/enhancement request 8692'
(http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8692). It's been open for
2.5 years and I don't expect much to happen on it, but you never know.

Wow, thanks for all the useful info guys!
I might try some of these tricks if my favourites start to get too big
a list. It'd be nice to create folders directly on mysqueezebox though.

Got it working using a different file sharing service with "hot linking"
capabilities.
Thank you guys, bpa, gary, )p(

Ah, thanks gary. Then I might have to have my web site guy add this
feature onto my commercial web site somehow.

To checlk whether the host is suitable - When you have created a link -
if you click on the link in a browser you should see the OPML text.
You could use Google Code and just have a single file in your Project
or perhaps add the opml file amongst a real project. Not sure if
Google would like the

Ok, I uploaded my current SBS Favorites OPML file (though very outdated
as I've been using MySB more) to MediaFire.
Placed the link URL into MySB Favorites, gives me the error "incorrect
http type", saved it anyway.
But all I get is "failed to parse" error when I select that Favorite.

What use is a personal web page if you can't do anything with it ?
Are you sure you cannot up load
I had never even noticed that I had a small free "personal" web space
with my COX internet service. Doesn't allow too much space, but way
more than I need for opml files. I activated it, and using the webpage
management page at cox.net, I uploaded an opml file, with folder, etc.
from my local SbS.
Well that went nowhere. My ISP does not have any way of "hosting" a
file on my personal web page.
Any ideas for a simple (and easy to understand) file hosting mechanism?

Many ISPs as part of brandband servuce offer some free webspace or
backup space which can be used. All you need is somewhere that can
server the OPML file using HTTP. The OPML files are
Ah, thank you! Boy, did I misunderstand that one. I thought you were
uploading an OPML file via MySB. I am not the most tech savvy.
So, somehow, I need to find a place on the internet to "host" this OPML
file which MySB > Favorites sees as a simple Favorite listed item.
I'd love to play with t

Interesting. Are you certain it maintains the Folder structure on
MySB?
If so, why can't MySB offer sub-Folders on it's own which has been an
enhancement
I'm not aware of a limit of Favorites on MySB.com, but be aware that
MySB.com Favorites is just one long list of individual Favorites, there
are no folders to place them in.
The only organizational tasks on MySB Favorites is Add, Delete, and
moving the individual Favorites up or down in the list (
I was wondering how many favourites you can add using mysqueezebox.com?
On iTunes I have about 330 radio stations stored under about 3
playlists. Is it possible to store this many on the Squeezebox or would
it slow the server down?
I'm not necessarily going to add as many as this but the list wil
